Weekly sketches for Greek Mythology and new assignment.

Hey everyone. Here is another update for our weekly sketch assignments. We had a lot of fun with these. The topic was chosen by our assistant editor Stanton Fink. He loves Greek mythology and monsters.

We also have a entry for last weeks assignment, independent comic book heroes, by Josh Strickland. He sketched a cool version of Witchblade.

This weeks assignment is The Marquis by Guy Davis. It was chosen by studio mate Matt Hill. You can draw any character from the concept.

Well, that is it for now. Hope everyone enjoys the sketches and I hope to see more watcher participation. We love seeing the work you guys can do.

Thanks.

Weekly sketches for independent heroes week and this weeks assignment.

Hey everyone.

Here is the art for last weeks sketch assignments. The assignment was to draw your favorite independent hero from any indy comic.

We have some really nice entries. I hope you enjoy them.

I would like to thank Ms Caitie Hincey for participating in the assignment. She did a really cool, animated style version of Ghost from Dark Horse Comics. I love how she added the cool ghost on the inside of her cloak. Nicely done. I also like the ghostly feel of the colors. It is a nice touch. Thank you Ms Caitie for joining us in the fun and we hope you continue. If you would like to see more of her work please go to: www.caitie-hinchey.deviantart.com and check out her gallery.

Nest weeks assignment: Greek mythological creatures

When you finish the assignment please email it to: alphadogstudios1@aol.com

Thanks and we are looking forward to another great week of art.

Weekly sketch posts and updates

We hope everyone is having a good year so far. Things are really heating up here at Alpha Dog Studios. Our projects are moving forward nicely. The creative teams are in place and they are cranking out the work. We will update the progression of each project here and let you take a peak at some of the art that will not be seen anywhere else. So let us know what you think.

Weekly Sketch assignments
We are starting something new this week here at the Alpha Dog Studios blog. We are starting a weekly sketch blog. The assignment sketch will be handed out by a different member of the studio each week and the participates will have a week to get it finished. Once it is finished, email them to alphadogstudios1@aol.com, and they will be published on this blog, and you will get feedback from the artist who is running the assignment that week.

This week's assignment is run by Will Caligan and the subject is independent comic heroes. Draw any of your favorite independent comic characters but make sure you put your take on them.

That is it for this week. Enjoy the page from our upcoming Grimm mini series: Dynasty. Penciled by Bat Hilliard, inked by Mark Stegbauer and written and created by Will Caligan.

Thanks.
